As a result of then recent developments in the field of high-temperature superconductivity, this press conference was held at the March meeting of the American Physical Society. Due to the volume of interest, two sessions were held. Participants in the first press conference include: Brian Maple, Paul Chu, Alex K. Muller, S. Tanaka, Zhongxian Zhao, Robert Cava, J.R. Schrieffer, Philip W. Anderson. Participantes in the second conference include: Brian Maple, Merwyn Broadsky, Arthur Freeman, Douglas Finnemore, Laura Greene, James Smith, Neil Ashcroft, Alex Zettl, Alex Malezemoff, D. K. Christen, and Michael Schluter.
